    i’d like to make a features request for;

    1- admin decide if users blog posts are displayed on main page of blog or only in their respective blog

    2- admin decide which admin role is needed to access the blog feature. so later if we have a membership engine, we can apply permissions to use the blog.

    3- add a widget to list new entries, in the user’s profile or main sidebars

    Hi @jeanpierre
    Sorry for delayed response
    I have added them in our suggestion list.
    At present we are considering it on the basis of member type which can also linked with user role.

    oh, i didn’t notice the “member type” thing, as it is not documented and i didn’t activate it…

    btw, @vapvarun , i’m not really requesting them to be added, but if you tell me “we will do it later” or “we do not plan on doing this or that”, then i can plan on coding the feature myself… 🙂

    thanks for the answer.

    Hi @jeanpierre, For now you can use membership plugin approach to manage posting permission. It will be a quick approach to lock down the add new post page on the basis of user-role.

    You can also modify category selection at Add new Post page, and display category as per choice.
    It will keep all post which belong to your members in certain categories.

    During moderation , you can bring them to verified category to display them inside index loop. ( At blog page or index page you can also hide post from certain category).

    I hope above will make sense 🙂
