My site is now so slow

I just purchased the boss theme with the social learner to get my site up like yours social learner and now after trouble shooting for hours it’s getting so slow. It takes like 30 to 40 seconds to save just about anything. I’m frustrated because according to the videos it seemed so easy to do and that’s why I purchased it today. I wanted to get my site looking like your social learner site. I’ve been reading others have similar issue and I already contacted my host too and they said it’s not an issue on their end. I constantly get gateway errors or discconect from database errors or it’s saving very slow. I have students that need to access the site to take their courses and this is very dissapointing to me as I don’t have much time to trouble shoot. Is there any recommendations you can give me to fix or change anything?

What I found was about the Better WordPress minify plugin or is there something else listed? would be great it you could give me a direct link. I’ve reading through documentation for hours.

I did install the the better wordpress minify and followed the video instructions with all the settings and it did not change anything. I also rmoved my title bar menu and no matter how much I was trouble shooting, it did not bring back the title menu. Then I deactivated the mnify plugin and the title br menu came back again.
