Boss BREAKS Visual Composer

Hi,

So, frustrating time tonight with Visual Composer. It would work when creating LearnDash Courses and Forums, but wouldn’t after publishing. I could still get the frontend/backend editor, but nothing in VC would open/add when I clicked on it.

Here’s what I did:

1. Disabled all plugins one by one until nothing was left… didn’t work.
2. Set the theme back to Twenty Fifteen — WORKED!

I’ve done this three times to check; the conflict is definitely with the Boss theme. Help!

you might getting frontend_editor.js:33 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘setSortable’ of undefined which is Js Composer issue for frontend editing

Backend editor is working fine and i am able to load it and add new rows and elements there
Please also let us know about which version of JS composer you are using.

Hi @vaparun,

I’ve installed both the VC that was bundled with the Social Learning theme, and when that didn’t work I deleted it. I then installed v4.7.2, which didn’t help.

I can create the page and use VC immediately after creating it, no problem. After I click “publish”, when I go back and try to edit the page that’s when it’s broken.

Hi all,
I get the same problem. Please get to this asap. Started after latest Boss theme update. We running the sensei learner setup. I’m working on grid elements in virtual composer. Some actions seem to work and others cause screen grey out and to freeze with the expected element popup window not showing. Have to reload page to get access again to links on that page and problem repeats.
Please also send through visual composer updates as promised elsewhere on this forum. Are they not supposed to accompany theme updates?
