Hi Erika,

I’m not staff for the theme but you add categories by going to WordPress Dashboard > Projects > Categories. Add categories here and they will show up when you create a project from the “Add Work” button at the top of your site. Categories will only show up once you add a project that is posted in that category. Please create a project first within a category and then you will see it appear under the category dropdown 🙂
