Loving this template

I have 3 questions:

1. How do I remove the space at the top of page of the blog if I don’t want a featured image?

2. How do I remove headings at the top of each page without deleting the heading on the edit page?

3. I have tried to remove comments at the bottom of existing static pages by going to screen options at the top of edit page individually but they are still there?
