I am not at all technical… I am not sure if this would be a buddyboss situation or buddypress or just who, but…

I am trying to get a private social network site set up. I created a dummy profile. I added an “about me” box on the profile page and allowed multiple lines of text.

When I wrote a little blurb in the about me box, saved it, then went to view the profile, a few of the words were made into hyperlinks that take you to the “members” page. The word injured, the phrase “starving and exhausted” and the words “is 9” were all made into links.

I went into edit profile, deleted them and saved, viewed profile, then went back in an retyped them and saved and they came back as hyperlinks.

I just started this week and have newest version of wp, bp,bb, and have BP Profile Search, Buddypress Activity Plus, and Buddypress Activity Privacy plug ins and that is it. I am using child theme.

In fact, all the answers to profile questions link back to the my profile on the member page… that just seems odd to me, as to why they would be hyperlinks. I mean the user would already be on my profile to see the profile info, so why would whole or partial answers to profile questions be getting turned into links?

Any info on this appreciated. Is it what it is suppose to do? why would it just select random words in a text box to hyperlink.

I know nothing of css, php, etc. nothing : )
