@michael I can assure you that everyone would need random file names for user uploaded photos like

A Plugin called activity plus does that exactly just like facebook but as we use buddyboss we dont want to use that plugin for photo uploads. And i also managed to delete (@unlink) the original photo after uploading with that plugin. The process was fast and easy.

User uploads system resizes, gives a new secret name and deletes the uploaded hires original.

Btw BuddyPress Activity Comment Notifier plugin,
BuddyPress Live Notification
and the RS Buddypress Activity Refresh plugins works great with buddyboss.
Anyway some teaks are needed. And these are great plugins for a social experience.
